Weather education storms Alamo Elementary

Pete Stobie—also known as Al Niño—brought his wacky weather wisdom from the Kalamazoo Nature Center to first grade classes at Otsego’s Alamo Elementary School Tuesday, Jan. 13.

Students learned about seasons, types of weather and more while becoming “wacky weather rangers” during Stobie’s hour-long presentation.

He taught students “there’s no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes,” as they repeated the mantra several times throughout the presentation.

The weather was just one are the students learned about during the the two days of presentations.
