Blue Star

Todd & Cindy
Scott Sullivan
Nor am I shocked or outraged. Sexual affairs are survivable in politics. Bill Clinton we knew about, but the tradition goes back at least as far as King Solo-mon’s 700 wives and 300 concubines. It is Biblical. Birds do it, bees do it, Republicans, Democrats, educated fleas … That is not the problem. The reason Gamrat and Courser must resign—if they haven’t by the time you read this—is not about what happened under the covers. It’s how they tried to cover up.

Cindy Gamrat ran for state House on a plank of “Family, Faith and ...” another “F” I forget. You could see it coming. She and fellow Tea Party Rep. Todd Courser, who is also married, connected quickly. God and guns were good in their world, gays bad.

They began sharing offices, staffs, proclamations about the sanctity of marriage between one man and one women and, reports say, a room at the Lansing Radisson every Thursday.
