When I ran, I ran with my heart. Too bad not my brain. Now I can’t, something living has been cut out of me.

When I ran, spring meant time to bump up the miles. Shorts and t-shirt weather combined with more daylight after work and the looming race schedule to make self-motivation easy. Feeling sun and air on my skin, hearing birds, seeing green and flowers … all that was magic.
