Do Due
Scott Sullivan
I know Glinski can be controversial and through the years has rubbed more than a few people the wrong way. He is also a longtime downtown business owner, city resident, ex-village president, DDA member and a lawyer. Could anyone be more qualified? Might he voice views you or I disagree with? Yes. Welcome to democracy. He would have one vote on a body that has nine members. It’s not a knock to say downtown has issues. We all have issues. The opportunity for triumph comes when we face them. Thinking the same way is not always good, nor is different bad.

English makes things harder than they should be. Take “do” and “due.” Folks who don’t do due diligence land in doo-doo.

Take Douglas City Council, which March 16 undid its March 2 appointment of Tim Glinski to the Downtown Development Authority.
