Bucket List
Scott Sullivan
Skeptics mock bucket list zealots by creating “*uck-it lists” of feats that are less impressive the more you think of them. Like: • Run with the bulls in Pamplona. • Run the Badwater Ultra-marathon in July from the lowest and hottest place in America, Death Valley, 135 miles to Mt. Whitney, one of the highest places. • Keeping up with the Kardashians. Who cares? Why?

I don’t get people who make bucket lists of things to do before they die/kick the bucket.

Friends swear by them. “They give you direction,” one says. “Achieve written goals and it gives you confidence. Then set more goals.”

His first was to run a marathon. Then it got out of hand. He has now run more than 250, including four times on all seven continents, posed nude at the North and South poles, bungee jumped, spent insane sums of money doing so and can’t wait to chase down the next thing.
