Healing through philosophy? Holistic medicine has long involved psychology and so on in this country. But studying Socrates, Plato and abstruse stuff liberal arts guys like me go nuts about? Somewhat less so.

I have new friends from Argentina. Now all I need is one in this country.

Marina, J.J. and Jorge are philosopher coaches from CMI Abasto, an integrative clinic based in a Buenos Aires suburb known as a bastion for tango dancers. They are visiting west Michigan in conjunction with the return home of Jimmy Lont, 24, a former heroin addict who has benefited from CMI’s approach wedding medicine with philosophy.
