Garold "Gary" Johnson, 70

Garold "Gary" Johnson, 70, of Douglas passed away in his home on Sunday, May 10, 2015, after a long illness.
Gary is remembered for his contagious laugh and sense of humor. Next to his family, Gary's passion was upholstering furniture. He worked at Baker Furniture as an upholsterer and later made that his life's work.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin H. and Beatrice E. (Miller) Johnson, both of Douglas; brothers, Michael and Melvin Johnson; and sister BeAnn (Johnson) Arnold.
He is survived by his wife Peggy of 49 years; children, Eric Johnson and Matthew and wife Kelly (Smith) Johnson; grandchildren, Samantha, Megan and her fiancé Ken Warner; great-grandchildren, Kameron Warner and Haley Warner; sister and brother, Connie Betz and Tony and Linnea (Bekken) Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.
No service is planned at this time.
