Otsego Schools to analyze maintenance needs
Otsego school board members voted to conduct an analysis of the district’s maintenance and facility needs relating to creating a sinking fund at the Monday, Nov. 10, meeting.
The board voted to hire TowerPinkster, a Grand Rapids-based firm, to complete the analysis for $15,000.
Superintendent Jeffery Haase said the analysis will be a facility needs assessment.
“We will be looking at every facility and what will need to be done over the next 10 years to maintain them,” he said. “We will be looking at everything: roofs, parking lots and interior finishes including the carpets and windows.”
Haase said a prioritized list will be put together to see what needs to be done immediately and what can wait.
