In a pair of home conference matches on Monday, Sept. 8, against Three Rivers and on Wednesday, Sept. 3, against Paw Paw, Otsego tennis went 1-0-1.
On Saturday, Sept. 6, the Bulldogs placed second to the Division 1 and 10th ranked Traverse City Central in the Bulldog Quad.
In the match against visiting Three Rivers, Otsego went 8-0 winning all the flights. In the match against the Redskins, however, the Bulldogs ended up tying 4-4.
After winning all four singles flights, Otsego dropped all four doubles flights for the tie.
Otsego’s number four doubles team of Cade Thiel and Issac Clemens made a good run at Paw Paw winning a tough first set tie-breaker to take a 1-0 set lead. The two freshmen had a tough time holding the lead against a couple of veteran Paw Paw seniors and dropped the last two sets for the split score.
