Dorr: Wurst Festival Ever

DORR—The New Salem Corn Maze at 4516 24th Street, Dorr, will be kicking off the “Haunting Season” with the Wurst Festival Ever, Friday, Sept. 28, and continue the fun Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 29-30.
On Friday is the Battle of the Bands from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. At 10 p.m. is the “Let There Be Rock” AC/DC cover band. Haunted attractions start at dusk, which include the haunted corn maze, the witches woods and zombie attack.
On Saturday, Sept. 29, is family fun from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The fun includes face painting, a daytime corn maze, inflatable 18-foot slide, Ballistic swing ride, 40-foot obstacle course, Speed of Light, petting zoo, balloon twisting, Hoverball archery, Hippo Chow Down and inflatable barnyard combo.
Live music is from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m., with Delilah DeWylde from 5 to 6:30 p.m.; NoBodies from 7 to 8:30 p.m; and Rockstar—Ultimate 80’s Hair Band Experience from 9 p.m. to12 a.m. Fireworks are at dusk as well as the haunted attractions.
On Sunday, Sept. 30, the Family Fun is from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Lawn mower races start at 1 p.m. Kids pedal tractor pulls start at 3 p.m. Wiener dog races start at 4:30 p.m.
The daytime cornmaze and paintball gallery, haunted cornmaze, haunted trails and zombie attack continue through Halloween.
