Saugatuck council seeks to fill Fisher’s term
Saugatuck City Council will accept applications through Thursday, April 10, at noon to complete the unexpired term left vacant by Wendy Wise Fisher’s resignation.
Fisher stepped down five months into her scheduled 2-year term March 24 citing business and personal commitments, though she made little secret of her differences with others on council and city staff.
The body expects to appoint a registered city voter to replace her at its Monday, April 14, meeting. He or she will serve through November 2015.
