Saugatuck, Douglas, township election counts

Here are complete, local results from the Nov. 4 general election. Canvassers were expected to certify the election Wednesday, Nov. 12.

Some details not in the major results at right:

In the Douglas, 74.57 percent of 979 registered voters cast ballots.

In the presidential race, the Green Party’s Cynthia McKinney earned 1 vote, Libertarian Party’s Bob Barr 2 and National Labor Party’s Ralph Nader 4.

In the race for Carl Levin’s U.S. Senate seat, the Green Party’s HarleyMekkelson earned 10 votes, U.S. Taxpayers Party’s Michael Nikitin 4, Libertarian Scotty Boman 10 and National Labor Party’s Doug Bern 1.

In the race for the U.S. Congress District 2, U.S. Taxpayers Party’s Ronald Graeser earned 5 votes, Libertarian Dan Johnson 12.

In the City of Saugatuck, 80.68 percent of 797 registered voters cast ballots.

For President, Green Party candidate Cynthia McKinney earned 3 votes, Libertarian Bob Barr 5, National Labor’s Ralph Nader 5.

In the race for Levin’s U.S. Senate seat, the Green Party’s Harley Mekkelson earned 11 votes, LibertarianScotty Boman 11 and National Labor’s Doug Bern 4.

In the race for the U.S. Congress District 2, U.S. Taxpayers Party’s Ronald Graeser earned 2 votes, Libertarian Dan Johnson 12.

In Saugatuck Township, 79.59 percent of 2,239 registered voters cast ballots.

For President, Green Party candidate Cynthia McKinney earned 4 votes, U.S. Taxpayers’ Chuck Baldwin 4, Libertarian Bob Barr 9 and National Labor’s Ralph Nader 10.

In the race for U.S. Senate, the Green Party’s Harley Mekkelson earned 15 votes, U.S. Taxpayers’ Michael Nikitin 12, Libertarian Scotty Boman 21 and National Labor’s Doug Bern 2.

In the race for the U.S. Congress District 2, U.S. Taxpayers Party’s Ronald Graeser earned 26 votes, Libertarian Dan Johnson earned 28.
