Independence Day festivities will be July 3 in downtown Allegan during the “July 3 Jubilee.”

The event will consist of activities and entertainment for all ages. Festivities begin at 5 p.m. and conclude with a fireworks show at dusk. Events will take place along the Riverfront Plaza, Mahan Park, Hanson Park and Brady Street.

Parade lineup will be at 4:30 p.m. in the Water and Cutler street parking lot. The parade will begin at 5 p.m. and include Trowbridge, Walnut, Hubbard and Locust streets.

“July 3 Jubilee draws folks from near and far. It is an opportunity to celebrate our freedom, honor those serving in the military and the veterans who have protected these rights, and have fun with families and friends,” said Vicki Knuckles, Allegan arts and entertainment coordinator.
