“It was absolutely perfect,” Pamela Reinhart, of Plain-well, said a few days after getting the surprise of a lifetime when Andrew Brown, her boyfriend of one-and-a-half years, proposed to her at the conclusion of Otsego High School’s performance of “Guys and Dolls,” on Saturday, March 29.
“I’ve known I wanted to marry him since three months into our relationship,” she said.
Brown said he had called the Otsego music director a few days before and she was enthusiastic about helping.
The couple was attending the show to support Rein-hart’s best friend’s little sister, who is like a sister to her as well.
“I knew her best friend was going to be there and that was important to her, she loves musicals and she wanted the big grand show,” Brown said. “I could have done it at home just as easily, but that’s what she wanted and I was game for it.”
The couple plans to marry in October.
“I don’t want to wait to marry him, he’s had me smitten since our first date,” Reinhart said.
