Me, definitely out of the office.

Out of the Basement Office: Write-in votes

Ryan Lewis, Editor

In my column this week, I explained a bit of how write-in votes are counted—and not counted—and explain why it would be bad if we elected Donald Duck to public office.

I also asked for our fine readers to submit their questions for Congressman Fred Upton, R-St. Joseph, whom I'd planned to chat with Monday, Nov. 24. Unfortunately, I've had to cancel that meeting due to Thanksgiving (we have to do everything a day early to get papers mailed in time). Submit you questions anyway; he'll stop by our office soon enough and I'm happy to ask him reader questons any old day.

Finally, find out what Allegan Township supervisor Steve Schulz and local veterinarian Dr. Jim Connell are up to (for a good cause). All this and more in the Nov. 20 issue of The Allegan County News.
