Up next: the 6th Districts, U.S. House of Representatives. Below are the precinct vote totals for how Allegan County voted in the Aug. 5 primary.

(If you’re curious as to why I’m bothering to post this info, read this.)

Unofficial tallies on the Michigan Secretary of State website show Fred Upton won the Republican nomination to the two-year term with 37,664 votes to challenger Jim Bussler’s 15,283.

The spread was even more pronounced among Allegan County voters; Upton won with 8,245 votes to Bussler’s 2,931.

Facing Upton on the Nov. 4 general election ballot will be Democrat Paul Clements, who earned 19,894 votes and was unchallenged in the primary.

As in the races for the State House, Clements, too, has his work is cut out for him if he is to upset the Republican for the seat.

The data below is from a list provided by the Allegan County Clerk’s office.

Tallies are listed alphabetically (Bussler, then Upton).
