Wayne Krueger, 86
Wayne Krueger, 86, formerly of Saugatuck, died Aug. 10, 2018, in Ocala, Fla.
He was born in Menominee on July 24, 1932, and graduated from Stephenson High School in 1950.
He served in the United States Navy as an aviation electrician for four years.
He graduated from Western Michigan University, Wayne State University and East Coast University where he received his Doctorate of Education.
He was a teacher in Lamphere Public Schools in Madison Heights, a Technical Coordinator at Macomb County Community College in Warren, a Dean of Occupational and Technical Instruction at Kirkland Community College in Roscommon, a Director of Physical Plant Planning at A.B. Dow Associates in Midland, and a Superintendent of Schools in Saugatuck.
He met and married Howardean De Long in 1959, and in 1997 they retired in Ocala, Fla.
He is survived by his wife Howardean of Ocala, Fla.; daughter, Laurie Krueger of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; daughter, Lisa Watton and her husband Ric and their children, Chase Watton and Payton Watton of Cummings, Ga.; and son, Kevin Krueger and his wife Sharrie and their children, Jenna Krueger and Nathan Krueger of Jefferson, Md.; brother, Ame Krueger and wife Dottie of Winter Haven, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father Paul Krueger and mother Edna Erickson Krueger; sister, Paula Avenger and husband Jack of Houston, Texas; and brothers, Hugh Krueger and wife Marjorie, and Kenn Krueger.
