Phoebe Hall, 81

Phoebe Hall, 81, of Hopkins, died at her home surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014. Mrs. Hall was born, May 6, 1933, in Dorr, the daughter of Peter and Angeline (Marks) Stevens.   
Phoebe was a member of the Salem Indian Mission. She had worked for more than 43 years at Allegan General Hospital as a surgical technician and a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of the Pokagon Band of the Ottawa and Potawatomi Tribe.  
Surviving are her three children, Jennifer and Dennis Taylor, Stephanie Hall and Kevin Hall; five grandchildren, Melodie, Tracy, Joe and Jennifer Hall, Laura and Brenda; eight great-grandchildren, Jaden, Abby, Grace, Alex, Nickalye, Savannah, Julian and Elijah; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son David; her granddaughter Sarah; her three brothers, Andrew, Joe and Bob; and four sisters, Laura, Mary, Jennie and Lucy.  
Friends may meet with the family on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel. Funeral services will be Sunday, Oct. 19, at 1 p.m. at Jijak Gun Lake Tribe, 2558 20th St., Hopkins, where visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Pastors Nancy Bolens and Sandra VandenBrink will officiate. Private interment will be Monday, Oct. 20, at Salem Township Cemetery.
