Margaret Jean (Wearne, Tripp) Arcaina, 63
Margaret Jean (Wearne, Tripp) Arcaina, 63, of Pahoa, Hawaii, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 27, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. She was born on May 15, 1952, in Allegan to the late Eugene and Mildred "Peggy" (Beagle) Wearne.
Maggie graduated from Allegan High School in 1970 and later went on to get her bachelor's degree in special education. Maggie made her home in Pahoa in 1993 and used her degree to teach at Pahoa High School for 15 years.
Maggie was an avid reader of all types of books. She loved Hawaii, its beaches, people and culture.
Maggie is survived by three children, Genia (Amber) LaNore of Hudsonville, Mich., Devin Tripp of Pahoa, Hawaii, and Andrea Tripp of Allegan; four siblings, John Wearne of Otsego, Chuck (Kathy) Wearne and Tom Wearne both of Allegan and Linda (Kim) Burgel of Bend, Ore.; one grandson Evan Brown of Hudsonville; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will now say Aloha until we see you again.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Maggie's life will be Sunday, Aug. 30, from 2 to 6 p.m., at Little John Lake in Allegan.
