Kathleen Ann Kibby, 72
Kathleen Ann Kibby (Havaich), 72, of Allegan passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at the Wings Home in Allegan.
Born Sept. 29, 1946, in Milwaukee, Wis., she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Katherine (Furjanich) Havaich and was the wife of the late Ivan Harry Kibby.
Shortly following her high school graduation and at the young age of 17, Kathleen left home to go to work in Washington, D.C. for the Department of Defense as a secretary specializing in shorthand. She continued her work for the government for many years.
Kathleen later went to work as a salesperson for Discovery Toys. She loved meeting new people and sharing her love of these toys with them for more than 34 years and right up to her final days.
Kathleen loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all her heart and shared her love with everyone she came in contact with.
Kathleen is survived by her children, Martin J. (April) Billman, David A. (Kimberly) Billman, Ronald J. Billman and John M. Billman; stepchildren, Ivan H. “Charlie” Kibby II and Bud M. (Suzanne) Kibby; sister Anne Marie Bartz; 10 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Paula Jane Billman; her stepdaughter Catherine Leigh Wright; and her brother Matthew Havaich.
The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Thursday, May 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday, May 31, at At the Master’s Feet Discipleship Ministry from 10 to 11 a.m. A funeral service will follow at the church at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Cemetery at 3 p.m.
