Charlotte M. VanderRoest, 92, of Allegan went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, at the Allegan Medical Care Community.
Charlotte was born Sept. 30, 1922, in San Francisco, Calif., the daughter of Edward and Meta (Raduechel) Vickery. She was a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School.
Charlotte was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always put her family first. She was a past member of the First Reformed Church for many years.
Surviving are her daughter, Sandra Morris; daughter-in-law Fran VanderRoest; nine grandchildren, Scott Morris, Brian and Laurie Morris, Elisabeth Morris, Julie VanderRoest, Jenni and Jon Dustin, Lisa and Phil Tyson, Laura Emmons, Rob and Jes VanderRoest and Steve and Michelle VanderRoest; five great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Benjamin Morris and Eva, Zaya and Troy VanderRoest; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert and son Robert Jr.
Friends may meet with the family on Monday, Sept. 21, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, www.gordenfuneral.com, where funeral services will be on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 10 a.m. Pastor John Rowe will officiate. Interment will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta.
