Presbyterian parade float is 'Best of Show'

For the second year in a row, Allegan First Presbyterian Church’s float was named the “Best of Show” entry in the Allegan County Fair Parade.
The 2015 fair parade was Monday, Sept. 14, starting in downtown Allegan and ending at the fair’s grandstand for judging.
In other parade entry classifications, first-place winners were:
Unclassified floats: Justina’s Studio of Dance
Agricultural: Hopkins FFA
Religious: Merson Church
Parade theme: Wings of Hope
Antique cars: Gary Lane
Antique trucks: Crystal Flash
Antique tractors: George Galloway
Hobby sport club marching unit: the Boy Scouts
Political/patriotic marching unit: All color/honor guards (VFW/American Legion and Allegan County Sheriff Department)
Commercial business marching unit: Allegan branch of Latter-Day Saints
Commercial cars: Wightman and Associates
Commercial trucks: Zeeland Farm Services
