Celebrate Easter—relive the Procession of the Cross

More than 100 individuals gathered at the riverfront gazebo to celebrate Good Friday with the annual Procession of the Cross through downtown Allegan.

The gathering began with a call to worship, followed by singing and a short scripture reading before the crowd began its five-block procession with Allegan City police chief Rick Hoyer carrying the cross for the first leg of the journey.

The procession ended at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd where, after closing prayer, all were invited inside for prayer, self-reflection and to visit the 14 stations of the cross.
