Cabaret Band Show prepares for March 13 opening night
The 31st Cabaret Band Show opens March 13 and will bring with it familiar faces and another packed evening of performances.
This year’s shows will each begin at 7 p.m. on March 13-14 and March 20-21 at Griswold Auditorium, 401 Hubbard St., Allegan.
The annual live concert has raised more than $150,000 throughout the last decade for the nonprofit Wings of Hope Hospice.
Wings of Hope provides comfort and care to clients in Allegan County facing terminal illness.
The band and performers cover contemporary hits as well as ‘80’s and ‘90’s rock to rhythm and blues to country to classics. The lineup is also interspersed with the show’s distinctive sponsored advertisements—familiar songs performed with rewritten lyrics singing the praises of the sponsor.
Of last year’s show, Wings of Hope executive director Theresa Lynn said, “Cabaret is more phenomenal every year. It’s a high-caliber, professional production.
“What comes from their hearts goes to our patients and their families in the form of physical, emotional and spiritual comfort and support. We love these folks.”
Tickets—all seats are reserved—cost $25 for Fridays and $30 for Saturdays. There is a cash bar. Saturday pre-show parties begin at 6 p.m.
