Allegan County Senior Fest 2015 set for May 7

The Allegan County Senior Fest 2015  will feature the usual wide range of fun and informative activities.

This year’s event will be Thursday, May 7, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (doors open at 8:30 a.m.) at First Baptist Church, 1290 32nd St., (M-40 South) in Allegan

In all, the senior fest will feature 14 workshops offered in two sessions, along with free health screenings for high blood pressure, blood sugar, foot problems and memory problems.

There will be a pharmacist available to review and answer questions about medicines.

Food includes a continental breakfast served 8:30 to 9 a.m. and lunch at noon, donated by Allegan General Hospital.

Entertainment will feature the Broadway Dancers and John Dudley’s Comedy and Magic Show

Registration brochures are available at Alliance Home Health Care Services in Allegan, Home Helpers in Otsego, Community Action of Allegan County (formerly ACRDC), the Allegan County Commission On Aging, Ever­green Commons in Holland and Laurels of Sandy Creek in Wayland.
