Free summer movies return to the Regent Theatre

The return of free summer afternoon movies at the Regent Theatre in Allegan begins June 9 and continues for 10 weeks, Monday through Friday, from 2 to 4 p.m. Showdates and summer matinees include:

June 9-13—“Epic”
June 16-20—“The Croods”
June 23-27—“Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2”
June 30-July 4—“Turbo”
July 7-11—“Free Birds”
July 14-18—“The Nut Job”
July 21-25—“Despicable Me 2”
July 28-Aug. 1—“Walking with Dinosaurs”
Aug. 4-8—“The Lego Movie”
Aug. 11-15—“Mr. Peabody & Sherman”
 
Admission to these films is free for all ages due to 2014 sponsors: Allegan U Stor, Judge Kevin Cronin and family, Allegan General Hospital, Allegan Animal Clinic, The Grocery Outlet Store, Ed and Mike, Allegan Eyecare, Tibbitts Financial Consulting, Allegan County Fair and Bartz Rumery Agency.
The Regent now screens films using digital projection and surround sound.
