Allegan suffers district loss to Paw Paw

The third game of Allegan’s Class B district volleyball opener against Paw Paw on Monday, Nov. 3, appeared to be going the Tigers’ way.
Appearances, however, can be deceiving.
Allegan was leading 20-14 before the Redskins rallied to score 11 of the final 12 points to bring the game to an end.
And with that, the Tigers’ season came to an end as they suffered the 25-13, 25-18, 25-21 loss.
First-year Allegan coach Chris Childers said despite the outcome, he was pleased with the fight shown by his team nonetheless.
“The girls showed a lot of heart and determination in that third game,” he said. “They didn’t want the season to end and were doing everything they could to keep it going. They played hard and continued to fight. As a coach, that’s all you can ask.”
