Emily Oren, running for Hillsdale College, cleared the barrier on her way to a fifth place finish in the Division 2 national championships at Grand Valley State University and an All-American status.

Emily Oren, a 2012 Hamilton graduate and current Hillsdale College sophomore,  is still making a big splash with her running, especially when it comes to the steeplechase.
Oren’s fifth-place performance in the event at the Division 2 outdoor national competition at Grand Valley State University qualified her for All-American status with a new school record time of 10:27.67.
Oren earned her first All-American recognition during the Division 2 indoor national competition at Winston-Salem State University running the mile in a time of 4:55.54. Her best mile time is a 4:51.
She also was the 2014 Great Lakes Intercollegiate  Athletic Conference’s champion in the mile, where she set up her débuts in the national arena.
