Who's running for school board in your district
The November election will feature school board elections for all districts in Allegan County. The following people had filed by the July 22 deadline; they have until Friday, July 25, to withdraw.
Allegan Public Schools has three six-year seats available. Only incumbent Mary Kasprzyk had filed by the deadline.
Fennville Public Schools has two six-year terms and two four-year terms available. Incumbents John Raak and Julio Cesar Almanza are joined in the race by Bernie Garlock, Tobias Hutchins, and Juliet Michele.
The Glenn Public School Board has three four-year positions available. Scott Bruursema, Rebecca Gunderson, Lisa A. Stinson and P. Kirk Van Horn all filed to run.
Hamilton Community Schools has three six-year terms up for election. Newcomers Amy Berarducci, Mike Jurries and Corla Wedeven filed for the available positions.
Hopkins Public Schools has three six-year seats open. Incumbent John Myers filed, along with Benjamin Brenner, Jay Gibson, Traci Rhoades and Tamara Sevenski-Popma.
Martin Public Schools has five four-year terms available. By the deadline, incumbents Sarah Brenner, Jennifer Harrison and Jason Moored filed and were joined by Scott KuyKendall, Vincent L. Tuinstra and John VandenBerg.
Otsego Public Schools has three six-year term openings. Incumbent Renny R. Ransbottom is joined in the race by Eric DeJong, Lisa L. Imus, Jay Petty, Stephen E. Podewell and Scot Reitenour.
Plainwell Community Schools have four four-year seats open. Newcomers Leandra Hawkings Burke and Thom Berlin have filed, along with incumbents Juli Bennett, Amy Blades, , Kim Shafer and Shannon Zabaldo all filed by the deadline.
Saugatuck Public Schools have three four-year terms open. Incumbents Jason Myers, Jeff Myers and Gordon Jay Stannis filed for the positions.
Wayland Union Schools have three four-year board seats open. Only newcomer Toni Ordway filed by the deadline.
