Each veteran in attendance had their name announced and was applauded for their service.Two performances were done by the school's choirs. A district substitute teacher, Donald Hallock, presented a flag to each of the district's principals. The flags were given to Hallock by his son who is currently serving in the US Navy in Afghanistan.

Schools, businesses and communities throughout Allegan County celebrated Veterans Day by honoring past, present and future military personnel on Tuesday, Nov. 11, and the surrounding days.
