Geoff Parker announces candidacy for district 80 State Representative
Otsego’s Geoff Parker has formally filed to run for State House Representative of district 80.
Parker is a democrat who is currently studying human resources management through Baker College while working at Richland Elementary School as a teacher’s assistant.
He is a lifelong resident of the state of Michigan.
“Michigan used to be a leader, a shining example of the idea that if you work hard, then you can achieve greatness,” he said. “Sadly, the future doesn’t look as bright. Michigan’s infrastructure is in dire need of repair; the economy requires a jump start due to years of poor growth.”
Education is a topic that is very close to Parker’s heart. He believes it is essential the state’s education system receive the funding it deserves.
“Mr. Parker realizes the possibility for a revitalized Michigan,” a press release said. “Geoff is not a politician, he is a leader.”
Parker sees good ideas on “both sides of the aisle,” but believes Michigan needs someone to find them.
According to a press release, “Geoff Parker is that person, but it will take everyone working together to create a brighter future for tomorrow.”
