Around 3,000 Allegan County residents were without power at 4:30 a.m. Thursday morning after a heavy, wet snowfall of six to eight inches blanketed the area and closed schools.

Norma Jean Brokus, 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016, at Allegan County Medical Care Community in Allegan.
Emma Jean Cochran, 95, of Fennville, passed away Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, at Holland Hospital. Born June 27, 1920, in Murray, Ky., she was the daughter of John and Letie (Irvan) Bailey.
David Paul Oakley, 54, of Inkster passed away on Friday, Feb, 5, 2016, at his home. Mr. Oakley was born on Jan. 26, 1962, in Garden City the son of Richard E. and Janet M. (Jessie) Oakley.
