ALLEGAN: construction tour
Allegan District Library staff are inviting the public to tour the library construction progress next week.
Staff at Christman Company, which is managing the construction project, will lead groups of up to 15 through the site on one more day: Monday, July 30, at 3:30 p.m.
Guests on the work site are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes they don’t mind getting dirty. Participants will be given hard hats and high visibility vests as well as a quick safety talk before the tour.
They will be led by construction manager Jamie Erbes and project superintendent Chip Mast, who will give the groups a sneak peak at what is coming, answer questions, and speak about the challenges and solutions that have arisen to keep the project on schedule.
Only one tour per day is currently planned. Those interested may reserve a spot in advance by calling the library at (269) 673-4625. If all spaces fill, individuals will be put on a waitlist in case the library offers any additional tours.
