Allegan: Cemetery tour

ALLEGAN—The sixth annual Oakwood Cemetery Living History Tour is Friday, June 1, and Saturday, June 2, hosted by the Allegan County Historical Society and the Allegan Community Players. Participants meet at the cemetery chapel where tours start at 5 p.m. and new tours leave in 20-minute intervals until the last tour at 6:40 p.m. both Friday and Saturday. Proceeds of this event help raise funds for the cleaning and restoration of cemetery headstones. Tour tickets cost $8 and must be purchased in advance by cash or check only at Something Sweet, 109 Locust St. Those interested in more information can contact the Old Jail Museum, open Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 113 Walnut St., (269) 673-8292.
